Drag-n-drop in Word 2002 - document vs. object
Hi Bob
I don't think you can get Word 2002 to work as you would like. You can, however, double-click the name of a Word document (rather than dragging it) and it will open in Word. Hope this helps. Shauna Kelly. Microsoft MVP. http://www.shaunakelly.com/word "+Bob+" wrote in message ... I recently upgraded from Word 2000 to 2002. When I drag-n-drop a document (.doc) from a file folder into word, it used to (always) open up that document for editing. Now it drops it into the currently open document as some freakish imbedded object in a frame. The only way to get it to open the second document for editing is to close all other documents first. Is there some way to get it to revert to the previous version's behavior of always opening a document that is dropped into Word. Thanks, |
