Default grammar suggestion error

Yes, sentences such as that are difficult for a grammar checker to interpret
accurately because there is at least one word that is assumed but not written
into the sentence. The first "its" is marked as an error because the
computer reads "size modified" as being grammatically parallel to "created."
If you completed the grammatical structure of the sentence by saying "when a
connector is created and then its size IS modified . . ." the computer would
understand it. You understand the abbreviated structure of that sentence,
but the computer isn't smart enough to read into the sentence the words that
aren't there.

BTW -- why did you capitalize "size"? It isn't a proper noun.
