my table of contents shows pages diferent from document
My table of contents shows 96 pages, the document shows 65 pages. I have
already "update table of contents" and update pages only" and nothing changes. Also one of the paragraphs shows on TOC and in not on the document. Curious |

When you browse to the pages in question, does Word display their
names in your status bar? Remember that page numbering can begin at any number you like and you might have one or more sections skipping some numbers. I'm not sure I understand what you mean when you say "that there is something in the toc that is not in the document"; is it text that you didn't type? Do you mean that there is an extra entry in the toc? On May 13, 10:34*am, Leninha wrote: My table of contents shows 96 pages, the document shows 65 pages. It shows the pages numbers. I mean that an entry previously deleted from the
document still shows on the TOC, and also an added entry on the document does not show. No update seems to work. We just migratted from Office 2003 to 2007, could there be a problem with the migration? -- Curious "Reitanos" wrote: When you browse to the pages in question, does Word display their names in your status bar? Turn on Track Changes (if not already on) and select AcceptAll. Then turn
off Track Changes. Update the ToC. Does that sort the problems? -- Terry Farrell - MSWord MVP "Leninha" wrote in message ... It shows the pages numbers. If you have (or have had) Track Changes enabled, you will need to Accept All
Changes in Document before the TOC will be correct. -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA http://word.mvps.org "Leninha" wrote in message ... Thanks Reitanos, I deleted the TOC, inserted a new one and all is well now,
Wonder what was wrong... Have a good day. -- Curious "Reitanos" wrote: I would try deleting the toc and reinserting it. If that does not work, please feel free to send me a copy of the document.
