Default Horizontal Dots Across Document Won't Go Away

I put several or the * symbol across my Word Document page as sort of a divider and when I pressed enter it turned the * into square dots.

Now I can't delete it, it just skips to the line above it. And when I put my mouse over the dots it makes it where it can move the text below it up or down.

I don't know how to get rid of it! Any ideas?

Thanks.

I found this link http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting...tRidOfLine.htm and it helped. So if anyone has the same problem they can go there.
