Default Word: Caps Lock & Font/All Caps off, but types caps. Why?

While typing, suddenly typing all caps but Caps Lock is off and All Caps
unchecked in Format - Font. If turn Caps Lock on, it types in lower case.
The only way I have found to reset things is to restart computer. Must have
hit some keys inadvertently that execute a command, but have no idea which or
how to undo.

Maybe one of your Shift keys is sticking?

None of the Shift keys are sticking. I suspect I am inadvertently hitting,
instead of the shift key, CTR or ALT plus something else.

Thanks for you thought.

In Windows, click on Start | Control Panel | Accessibility Options |
Keyboard tab | uncheck the "Use StickyKeys" box | OK.
