Default Some file (?) called okla

Office SP 3, Word 2003. need to recover dissertation. i was sending the first
two pages to a friend for advice. i inserted the two pages to the email to
her. i wanted to check the inserted copy; so, before sending it, i opened it,
corrected, the saved the corrections to the inserted copy; then some file
called okla appeared. other times i caught it and put it in my documents.
this time, however, i did not catch it. everything closed. i checked sent
mail and the email was not sent. Now i cannot find my dissertation. Looking
in my computer, Windows (temp included), looked in Program Files, did a
search for okla - all found nothing. i know the okla is here, but where. I'm
thinking: did i save it in this okla file; if so, where can i access the
file. Or, has the paper been replaced? i have a saved copy 4 days old. i
can use it, but would like to have the recent copy. Thanks for your help.

You should never open Word attachments directly from e-mail - however it
*may* be possible to recover your changes. See
