Remove Highlighted formatting from Text and leave as was before
Hi
I have a document in Word 2003 where words have been highlighted using the highlight tool on the formatting toolbar. How can I easily remove the highlight and return the text to its original look? Thanks in advance. Ailish |

Put the cursor in the Find What box, click the Format button, and choose Highlight -- the line under the Find What box should say "Format: Highlight". Now put the cursor in the Replace With box, click the Format button, and choose Highlight; then click Format again and choose Highlight again -- the line under the Replace With box should say "Format: Not Highlight". Click the Replace All button. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |

Another way to do it is simply to select the entire document (Cntl - A) and
then click on the highlight tool and select None. Fred "Ailish" wrote: Hi I have a document in Word 2003 where words have been highlighted using the highlight tool on the formatting toolbar. How can I easily remove the highlight and return the text to its original look? Thanks in advance. Ailish |
