I do a newsletter in Word and forward to others. How can I maintain the
formatting? e.g., when others receive it, it remains 8 pages instead of 10
pages. They all have the fonts I use.

The may have the fonts, but what about the printer driver?
Send it as PDF, for which you'll need extra software.
