I am trying to insert a hyperlink in a word document to a pdf file, I can
insert the hyperlink no problem. When I click on it, it opens the folder
that contains the PDF file instead of opening the PDF file.

Any ideas?

Are you sure you hyperlinked to the file rather than the folder?

Do you have any PDF reader software installed (such as Adobe Reader)? Word
can't *open* a PDF - the hyperlink simply attempts to launch the file by
using available software that can. If you do have a PDF reader, right-click
a PDF file & make sure it is associated with the right program.

I figured out the issue - the name of the pdf file was #1 Golf Prize.pdf - as
soon as I got rid of the # and the spaces it worked great.
