How do I align columns of numbers right side? Use a tab or not? Thanks

I would use tabs but there are several ways you could do it.

Align numbers
You can use either right paragraph alignment or a decimal tab stop. Assuming
the "column of numbers" is in a table, the decimal tab stop is the way to go. You don't even need to insert tab characters; once you set the tab stop, the left-aligned numbers will jump to the tab stop position. -- Suzanne S.
