When I save one version of a doc, it changes all versions saved
I'm using a wordart header and footer for several different documents. I
wrote the first one, then saved it. I then copied it and saved it by another name, then changed the message and saved it again. I did this several (5 or 6) times. When I went back to the first doc and opened it, it was identical to the last one I saved, as were all the rest! Help! They were docs, not templates. |

Which version of Word and Windows is involved? When I save one version of a doc, it changes all versions save
I'm using Word 2002, Windows XP. Just opening an old version, then saving as
a new name. Then I make changes and hit the save icon. I have 5 docs listed in the file, all different names, but all identical to the last one saved. When I save one version of a doc, it changes all versions save
Sorry; I meant the version as in the first letter I wrote was the first
version. After I saved it as "letter1", I opened it and saved it as "letter2", then changed the message in it and hit the save icon. Then opened letter2, saved it as "letter3", changed the message in it and hit the save icon, etc. When I went back and looked, all the letters reflect the changes in the most recent (letter5). Can't figure it out! "Cindy M." wrote: Hi ?B?Q2FzZXliYXk=?=, I'm using Word 2002, Windows XP. Just opening an old version, then saving as a new name. Then I make changes and hit the save icon. Can't figure it out! Nor can I. If you try the same again (new document to start with), does it happen, still? Or does Word behave "normally" today?
