Hi,

I am trying to add caption for the pics and using the autocaption feature. I
hope to includ the chapter number in the caption number. But i don't know why
the number starts from 0, but 1.

Two possibilities:

You have included the Chapter Number, but there are no Heading 1 styled
paragraphs in your document, or the Heading 1 style has no number...

Or: The FIRST field in the first caption has been set to "Start at 0" not
"1".
