Default Comparing Two Documents?

Hello,

I want to compare differences between two documents and have the
differences SEEN on the screen.

Is there any way to do that. I can put both docs on the screen and
scroll synchronously, but would like to see differences.

Any idea how to do this? Or is there a non Word app I can use?

Thanks,

Tmuldoon

Default Comparing Two Documents?

Hi there!

And thanks for helping me out!

I tried it - open up my doc in Word 2003- go to Tools -Compare and
Merge Documents - another session of work opens up and then I get the
old 'not responding....

I am trying to view logs from an application - about 34 megs of txt
each document - Word should be able to handle that one would hope...

It's recently been mentioned here that the theoretical maximum for a
Word file is 32Mb (of text, not counting graphics etc.) -- so maybe
you are indeed exceeding its capacity! How did you manage to create
such big files?

If you cut them in half, everything will probably work fine.
