Default How do I drag pictures straight into Word 2000?

I am using Word 2000 and Windows XP. I have just done a full restore on my PC
and am trying to get everything back to how it was. I used to be able to drag
a picture straight from Windows Explorer into a Word document (open both
windows side by side, and drag the file from Explorer into Word) and then
picture would be displayed in Word.

Now when I do it, it inserts a link to the file, rather than the actual
picture.

I have trawled through all the settings, but cannot find how to change it
anywhere?

Any suggestions?

Thanks very much for your help.

Regards

It SHOULD work???

But you can also try RIGHT clicking on the image and dragging...then
click Copy Here from the menu that will appear when you release.

Good luck...
