How do I insert contact info from outlook into word template lette
I am trying to set up template letters for various things in the office and I
want to be able to link to contact information within Outlook so that the info is inserted at the click of a button. Is this possible? The only other way I can think of doing this would be to use the letter wizard within Outlook which will do a similar task but I cant see any way of changing the layout of the letter which has an American format of date first which I dont want. Any help would be appreciated. |

Generally speaking it's easier to start from the Outlook end of things. In
recent versions of Office you can select a contact folder (and an individual contact in that folder) and use Outlook Tools|Mail Merge to perform a merge to it. Once you have set up a suitable mail merge template you can re-use it. if that doesn't do what you need, you might be able to find some useful VBA code at http://www.slipstick.com - also, if you search this newsgroup on Google Groups for "jamieson outlook inspector" - the article I'm thinking of is dated Sep 28 2003 Peter Jamieson "Yellowhouse1976" wrote in message news I am trying to set up template letters for various things in the office and I want to be able to link to contact information within Outlook so that the info is inserted at the click of a button. Graham, I have had a quick look at your sight and this seems to be more of
what I was looking for. I just hope I can incorporate the macros as I have never used them before, wish me luck.
