"Save as" doesn't work in Word 2007
If I try to "save as" a word file, the folders window will pop up. But, when
I click the arrow to get the drop down menu to pick the folder I want, a little window pops up that says "initializing the root folders to display". After a few seconds, the overall folders window will pop up, but when I click on any folder, it will not select it. So to "save as", I need to save to my desktop and then move to the folder I want it in. What's wrong? |

Right-click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop, left-click
on Disconnect Network Drive, and disconnect any mapped drives that are not currently available. Barryhey wrote: If I try to "save as" a word file, the folders window will pop up. If you don't have network drives, that's not your problem.
Since you don't give us any details about your computer, software, operating system, or problem: we can't answer. "Save as" doesn't work in Word 2007
I have a similar problem. I am running XP Tablet edition SP2. I have network
mapped drives. However, I also had those drives before installing Office 2007. I did not have this problem then. Aslo, this problem seem to appear only with Office products. Extremely frustrated. A solution is greatly appreciated. Thanks. "Save as" doesn't work in Word 2007
I have the same issue with an end user getting this message an not being able
to select a folder. However, she does not have any network drives that are not available. She is trying to save a document to her personal users drive on the network. This only happens since installing Office 2007 on her system.
