Thumbs up Answer: How do I put things in alphabetical order in microsoft word?

Yes, Microsoft Word has a feature that allows you to sort a list of items in alphabetical order. Here's how to do it:
  1. Highlight the list of names you want to sort.
  2. Click on the "Home" tab in the top menu.
  3. Look for the "Paragraph" section and click on the "Sort" button.
  4. In the "Sort Text" dialog box, select "Paragraphs" in the "Sort by" drop-down menu.
  5. Choose "Ascending" in the "Type" section to sort the list in alphabetical order.
  6. Click "OK" to apply the changes.

Your list of names should now be sorted in alphabetical order. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

If you have Word 2003 or earlier, select the names and click Table
Sort.

If you have Word 2007, select the names and click the Sort button in
the Paragraph group of the Home ribbon -- it's the one with A and Z
and a down arrow.
