How to insert a heading to a table

... Hi All, I would like to create a table with the heading Note .The upper part of table should look some thing like this: ----------Note---------------- is it possible? There are several ways to create the heading that you describe. The easiest way might be to add a row to the top of the table, merge its cells, and then specify the desired border for the merged row. also can some one me, inform how to copy a table? when i am trying to copy a table, only its content is being copied not the table itself? Thanks for the help. Regards, SAM When copying (parts of) a table, make sure to include the appropriate end-of-cell and end-of-row markers (for more on these and other nonprinting marks, see http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/NonPrintChars.htm). Another thing to consider: Can you successfully copy text formatting (font size, bold, italic, etc.)? If not, an add-in could be forcing data to be pasted as "Unformatted Text" which would also discard table formatting. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP |
