Why would a template be saving as .dot vs making me save as .doc?
One of our users is trying to save a template and it is saving the template
vs making her save it as a doc. What causes that? |

Why would a template be saving as .dot vs making me save as .doc?
She is opening the template rather than using it (properly) to create a new
document. The template should be saved (as a template) in one of the templates folders (the users folder or the workgroup folder). Then it is used by File New.
