Default how to create macros

hi, i am trying to create a new macro. i currently have office 2003. i used
once prior to 2003. Anyhow, i cannot pass from the point of the tape recorder
showing up on the screen? how do i continue? could anyone help me? thanks to
all

Default how to create macros

You have to *do* whatever it is that you want to have recorded. I believe
what may be hanging you up is that while recording a macro you *cannot* use
the mouse in the document (to select text or move the insertion point).
Although you *can* use the mouse to scroll, click buttons & access menus you
must use keyboard navigation & selection techniques within the doc itself.

If this isn't the problem please be more specific about what *is*:-)
