Default find function

I really hate how find works in word. I search a word in a document and word
takes me to all of them one by one.
I cannot go to the previous match if I accidently have skipped it.

Why not just design it as in acrobat reader. Indicate all matching cases in
a column.

Word 2007? Click on Find, click the "More" button, click on the "Reading
Highlight" button and choose "highlight All".

The Find Previous button at the bottom of the vertical scroll bar will take
you back to a previous match.

The other suggestions you got will work perfectly well. If you prefer the
Acrobat Reader's find dialog, I have one for you. Download finder.zip from
http://jay-freedman.info and unzip it into your Word Startup folder
(%appdata%\Microsoft\Word\Startup). It assigns itself to the Ctrl+Alt+F
shortcut.
