Default Mail merge

Using mail merge, how do I remove a certain field if I used an Outlook
datafile?

Default Mail merge

It isn't completely clear what you mean, but
a. if it is an individual field, delete it (use alt-F9 to show the field
braces {} to make it easier to see where each field begins and ends
b. if your field is appearing in an ADDRESSBLOCK or GREETINGLINE field, you
will probably need to replace the field by a set of individual fields nested
within IF fields
c. if you mean "I don't want to see the Outlook field listed in the fields
I can insert in Word" then
- in Outlook, open your contacts folder and create a view with only the
columns (and contacts you need
- in Outlook Tools|Mail Merge, select the "Fields to merge"|"Contact fields
in current view" option. I think you will get some "system" fields anyway.

If you meant something else, spell it out please!
