Installing new fonts
I downloaded some new fonts from the internet. I obtained and followed the
instructions on how to install the new fonts into Word, Excell, etc. The fonts are showing up in Excell, but not in Word. When I return to "My Computer" to reinstall the fonts, a pop-up box says that the font has already been installed. Why isn't the font available for me to use in Word? |

Some font types are not supported in later versions of Word. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=163059 "WD97: Some Fonts Are Not Available in Word" for more information. The article also applies to Word 2000, 2002, and 2003. I'm not sure exactly what you've done so far, but when I'm installing new
fonts this is what I do: [1] Open up the Start Menu [2] Click on Control Panel [3] Open the folder marked Fonts [4] Place the new fonts in the folder or extract them into it. [5] If you want to you can refresh or Restart the company to make sure the fonts take effect. Thats what I always do after changing any new settings. Hope this helps... KlikThis |
