Word document contains a picture but I can't see it unless i view.
I have a word document that contains some pictures in it, but when I view it
in any other mode other than Reading layout, all I can see is the outline of the picture. When I change the view to Reading layout, then I can see the actual image. |

In Tools Options View, check the option for Drawing Objects.

Tools | Options | View: Clear the check box for "Picture placeholders."
