I just bought a new, shiny copy of Office 2007 and have been very pleased
with the product. For some reason, Wird will not allow me to insert page
numbers. I click page numbers on the header and footer tab, but when i click
on page number top of page or bottom of page, the egg timer appears, the
window minimizes and when I maximise the window again, I cannot click on
anything to insert a page number.
I have no idea what to do, does anyone have a clue wjhat I'm talking about
and even more importantly, can anybody help?

Use Ctlr+F9 to insert a pair of field delimiters { } and inside them type
the word PAGE so that you have { PAGE }. Then press Alt+F9 to toggle off
the display of the field codes.
