Word, revert to normal style when hit enter after editing caption
Chances are somebody does not want to begin another line of caption when
hitting enter at the end of a caption. Word generally makes it hard to open new lines of normal text. Same problem, hitting enter at end of HeadingN sometimes opens another line of headingN rather than a line of normal text. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Set the 'Style for following paragraph' as part of the style definition.

The default following style for Word's built-in heading styles is Normal. I
usually change this to whatever flavor of Body Text I'm using for the document. You can do the same for the Caption style. Also, Ctrl+Shift+N will apply Normal style to any paragraph. -- Suzanne S. Hi ?B?V09UQQ==?=,
Chances are somebody does not want to begin another line of caption when hitting enter at the end of a caption. Word generally makes it hard to open new lines of normal text. Same problem, hitting enter at end of HeadingN sometimes opens another line of headingN rather than a line of normal text. If your styles are defined properly - so that the "Next style" is set to be "Normal" (or whatever you wish), then you will get the behavior you request. If you tell us the version of Word, we can tell you where you can do this. FWIW, on a default installation, the builtin Heading styles do behave this way. But you won't get a different style if you press ENTER in the middle of a paragraph, or at the beginning of one. You definitely have to be at the very end of the paragraph.
