Word 2007/2010 doesn't implement shading properly
If you set the background shading color for a line of text, the background
shading color only applies directly to the line of text and not the spacing before or after. Suppose you select a text paragragh and its heading to be shaded light gray. You increase spacing below the heading and text body, select the heading text and put a bottom border to it.
