Default Automatic Return in SansSerif

Hello, i have set sans serif as my typefont in the normal template.
However, in this font type, Word won't automatically bring a word which
doesn't fit on the line down. It simply leaves half the word on one line and
continues writing the rest of the word on the next line - no hyphen or
anything.

Can anybody suggest how I can fix this so that I dont need to manually
return at the end of every line?

Thanks in advance

Assuming you are using the TrueType font Microsoft Sans Serif and not a
screen font of the same name, this should not be happening and indicates
that either the font is damaged or the document is corrupt. For the latter,
see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/CorruptDoc.htm
