How do I stop double spacing in my email text?

I've tried everything but my email text still double spaces. All the
format
settings say single spacing. Is it a "Word setting"? How do I change it
down
to single spacing if all the format settings already say single
spacing.
If
its on HTML or Rich Text, it's double spacing. If I change it to plain
text I
lose my stationary but it goes back to single spacing. Do you have any
suggestions?

Are you pressing the Enter key to keep lines short, and are you
pressing Enter twice to create a blank line between paragraphs? If so,
don't. Let Word handle the line breaks, and press Enter only once
between paragraphs.
