Answer: SM service mark symbol
If you need to use the SM symbol frequently, you can also add it to the "Quick Access Toolbar" at the top of the screen for easy access. Here's how: 1. Right-click on the SM symbol you just inserted. 2. Click on "Add to Quick Access Toolbar" in the drop-down menu. 3. The SM symbol should now appear in the Quick Access Toolbar at the top of the screen.

It's in the big Unicode fonts, Arial Unicode and Lucida Sans Unicode, as character hex 2120 in the "Letterlike Symbols" subset. In Word 2002 or 2003 you can type the number 2120 in your document and then press Alt+X to display the symbol. If you use it a lot, click either the AutoCorrect button or the Shortcut Key button to create a quick-access method. In general, see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/InsertSpecChars.htm for how to insert special characters and how to make keyboard shortcuts for them. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
