Default multifootnote format type

how can i use more than one format type of footnte in the them file? for ex:
a b c format of footnote for the refrences and 1 2 3 format of footnote for
my nots

Default multifootnote format type

It turns out you can have a second bunch of footnotes if you label
each one individually using "Custom Footnote Numbering" within the
Insert Reference Footnote panel.

But it won't separate them into a lettered group and a numbered group,
they'll be interspersed.

If you can't put references into the text (author-date style), maybe
they could be endnotes?
