Default line numbers within a table cell

I would like to enter citations from interviews in tablecells, and then have
each line in the interview numbered, within the cell. Do anyone know if that
is even possible? Or do you have other suggestions as to how to get around
the problem?

Word's line numbering feature won't work with text in table cells,
unfortunately. You'll have to type the numbers yourself, either in a
text box in the margin or in a border-less column of the table. You
may have to specify a fixed line spacing (FormatParagraph, Indents
and Spacing tab: choose Exactly and specify the appropriate value) to
make numbers and text line up. Note that it would be a lot easier to
put the citations in the text. Then automatic line numbering would
work. If you need a specific look for the citations, just specify
indents and/or a different font for them.
