Default AutoCorrect will not correct initial capitals for unknown words

With this option turned on, 'known' words will be corrected but unknown words
- such as names, technical or unfamiliar terms are NOT corrected. Any idea
why?

Default

Because Word decided that, since these words are unknown, the initial caps
may be intentional (as in trade names and the like). AutoCorrect used to
fire before spelling correction, but the order has been reversed for the
reason I state.
