I need a field or something that will sits in the main body of the document
which automatically updates (where possible) the total number of pages minus
1 in that document, please can anyone assist me with a solution?

Thanks

{ = { NUMPAGES } - 1}, but it won't update automatically (will update when
you print or Print Preview or explicitly F9).

Thanks for your response, I had added the double brackets with CTRL +F9 and
then pasted what you put below in but when I toggle the code it comes up with
syntax error! any suggestions?

Hi, cancel my last I've sorted it, I realised I needed to put two sets of
brackets with CTRL + F9 and toggle the code twice for it to work.

Many thanks, fantastic !!
