How do I place a watermark shadow saying "Copy" across a document.
Possibly the real problem is that I don't know the correct terminology for
this thing that prints a shadow message in the background, like a watermark that can be seen, but doesn't hide the typed information on the page. It doesn't have to be "Copy", it could say "Duplicate" or "Secret" or whatever you want. |

In Word 2003 and earlier, click Format Background Printed Watermark. In Word 2007, click the Page Layout tab of the ribbon and click the Watermark button in the Page Background group, then click the Custom Watermark item at the bottom of the gallery. In either case, you get a dialog where you can choose the watermark you want. In the Text dropdown, you can choose one of the existing entries or type in whatever text you want. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
