Exporting Custom Dictionaries from Word 2003 to Word 2007
I am migrating from a WinXP running Word 2003 to a Vista running Word 2007;
what is the best way to bring over my very substantial custom dictionary (for the AutoCorrect feature) from Word 2003 to Word 2007? I surely do not feel like creating it manually all over again! |

Exporting Custom Dictionaries from Word 2003 to Word 2007
Your custom dictionary (Custom.dic) and AutoCorrect entries (*.acl file) are
two different things. For the latter, use the macro from http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...utocorrect.htm to export the entries from Word 2003. Then use the AutoCorrect.dotm template (in Autocorrect2007.zip) from http://jay-freedman.info to load that document into Word 2007 -- Suzanne S.
