Default Spell Check Turns off with Greek Language

I notice when a document has large portions of Greek text, the spell checker
stops checking words in English. Is there a way around this? (I am using the
Windows langauge setting to switch between languages.) System = XP
Professional; Word 2003.

Hi ?B?Sm9zaA==?=,

Are you absolutely certain the two sets of text have been formatted with the
appropriate languages (check by selecting some text, then looking in
Tools/Language/Set language, or watch the Status bar)?

Is the text perhaps formatted with "Do not check spelling or grammar"?

What happens if you press F7? Do you get any messages? Does it find spelling
errors?
