how do I stop the cursor from jumping to the bottom of the page o.
My operating system is Windows 97 and I have inherited a fault in Microsoft
Word whereby the cursor jumps to the bottom of the page when I select carriage return. I have checked the settings for line spacing and paragraphs and all seems OK. Is anyone able to provide me with some assistance on the above? Regards Chuck |

Hi Chuck,
The description is a bit confusing, but I think what you're seeing is an option setting, not a fault. Go to File Page Setup Layout and set the vertical alignment to Top. It sounds like the value now is Justified. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Chuck wrote: My operating system is Windows 97 and I have inherited a fault in Microsoft Word whereby the cursor jumps to the bottom of the page when I select carriage return.
