Deleting replaceing highlighted text wont work.
When I highlight some text and hit the backspace key in Microsoft Office Word
2003 rather then deleting the selected text the courser just moves to the space immediately before the selected test and the text becomes unselected. Also when I highlight text and then begin typing, rather then replacing the highlighted text with what I'm typing it does the same thing as above then adds my new typings before the previously selected text. Any help on how to get this resolved is appreciated. BTW i am running XP on a Toshiba Satellite A85 laptop if that helps. |

In Word, click on Tools | Options | Edit tab | check the "Typing
replaces selection" box | OK.
