When writing poetry how do I disable automatic caps each time I hit the Enter

Use a line break (Shift+Enter) instead of a paragraph break (Enter).

In Word, click on Tools | AutoCorrect Options | AutoCorrect tab |
uncheck the "Capitalize first letter of sentences" box | OK.
