Default envelopes font size

I like my return address in the top left corner of envelopes in 8pt Ariel.
But I cannot set this size as the default. Whatever I do the size reverts
to10pt. Is there a solution to this problem?
TIA
WB

Default envelopes font size

In the Format Style dialog (or task pane, depending on your version
of Word) select the Envelope Return style and click Modify. Change the
font size, and click the Default button to save the change to the
Normal.dot template.
