17 year Word veteran with TOC & Different First Page Footer Issue
I have a document put together this way:
Section 1 - Different First Page section type with a TOC with headers and footers on the TOC pages, and a Next Page Section Break 4 lines after the end of the TOC Section 2 - No Different First Page, non-Same As Previous headers and footers, and and a Next Page Section Break 4 lines after the end of the text in the section Sections 3-10 are set up just like Section 2. When I update the TOC, it does not ask me anymore if I want to update just the page numbers or the entire table, and just updates the entire TOC. At the same time, it changes my Section 1 First Page footer and subsequent Section 1 page footers into the footer from Section 2 (I lose my i, ii, iii formatting in the process, ugh). AND my Section Break 4 lines down from the TOC totally disappears. What the heck is going on? Is it the type of Section Break that I'm using? I've never had this happen before! |
