After writing the first line and press enter, the return key starts a new
paragraph more than halfway down the page!!. line spacing is ok. I have
checked paragraph settings and set them to normal/default appear to be
normal. Help please!

On the Layout tab of Page Setup, make sure the vertical alignment is set to
Top.

Landi send me the file and as suspected, the vertical alignment was set to
"Justified" rather than "Top".
