Default Lines in word documents

I'm running Word 2002 (?) on my laptop and every time I open a new document,
I'm getting these 90 degree lines (L) at each margin point. I don't know how
to turn them off. Please help!!!!

See "Margin marks or crop marks appear on each corner of the page when you
open a document in Word 2002 or in Word 2003"
