Delete multiple headers
I inherited a 184 page Word file. Each page has a header with a
manually inserted page number. I want to delete all the headers so that I can start from scratch and format the headers correctly. Is there any way to delete multiple headers at the same time? |

Delete multiple headers
One approach, try this on a COPY. Use Find and Replace to Find all
Section Breaks and replace them with nothing. To have a manual page number, each page must be its own section--which is not a good way to deal with Word. That F&R will bring it down to a single section. Expand the Find dialog by clicking More, if necessary, and use the Special menu to enter to code to Find a section break.
