Default office clipboard only shows last entry but lists many

using office sm bus. 2003
in word, when i display the office clipboard, it says "item 1 of 24"
but in the little window it only shows the latest entry & no way to access
the others.
[don't normally have it set to display because it takes up too much space.]
thanks

Even when you've only done 1 copy, there are still 24 slots in the Office
Clipboard and it will say "1 of 24" if displayed. Only the filled slots are
available for you to Paste or Delete. Each filled slot should be shown as
text or a picture or an icon if the contents aren't reproducible in the task
pane - and each should respond to the mouse.

Are you saying that you have clipboard slots _with contents_ that you can't
access? Or just empty ones (which you won't be able to access because there
is nothing you can do to or with them)?
