Anyone know about TOC formatting?
I want to fit a table of contents into the column of a table
The TOC has: Heading........................................... .................................................. .................................................. .........................................Page no I would like to reduce the leading dots to fit the column but still incl page numbers: Heading........................................... .................................................. ...........Page no I find I can reduce the width after inserting the TOC by formattabs but each time i refresh the TOC it resizes the leader Any ideas???? Just thought - if i define a style with reduced tab widths and use this style in the TOC?? who knows? |

Each level of the TOC is an individual style named TOC1, TOC2, etc.
Define each of them as you wish. i found you can define the tab stops for the table of contents - but it
seems to remove the leading .................'s - anyway to reinstate those? "JethroUK©" wrote in message ... Seek and thou shalt find - It is possible to redefine the tab stops of a

However, since all TOC styles are by default set to update automatically,
