Hiding Word 2007 Hidden Text From View
There are a couple of posts about this topic, but none that address my problem.
In Word 2007, I have repeatedy unchecked the Hidden Text checkbox found in Office Button Word Options Display Always Show These Formatting Marks On The Screen section, but Word continues to display the hidden text. In other words, I can see the text when I open the document. This text is in the margins. I need to create a version of this document in which the hidden text IS NOT displayed (i.e., cannot be viewed by the reader). Note: I know how to print without the hidden text - I want to view without the hidden text. I would appreciate any help. This was simpler in 2003 when clearing the Hidden Text check box actually worked. Thanks. |

Hidden text also appears when you have Show Non-Printing Characters
turned on. If you're seeing it in the margins, maybe it's interacting with Track Changes? Note that if you send the Word file to someone else, they can view the hidden text simply by telling Word to show hidden text or show non- printing characters. Send them a pdf instead.
