How do I minimize the footer box at the end of the page so I can fit more
info on the page?

1) Change the footer area in the margins settings on File Page Setup

2) Use a smaller font in your footer style.

If you've already decreased the bottom margin to less than the footer
margin, then you need to decrease the footer margin as well.
