Default Captions and cross references within a table

I try to insert captions and cross references for the numbering of (caption)
and referring to (cross reference) questions which are integrated in a
table.Unfortunately the caption is always placed above the table and it seems
that they cannot be used within the table. I don't know another possibility
in Word to overcome this problem... Does anyone know a solution?
thanks

After you've inserted the caption, you can use cut and paste to actually
place it inside a table cell.
